Gas analysers featuring Russian-made controllers were exhibited by JSC GosNIIkhimanalit at the St Petersburg Technical Fair.

Alexander Kapralov, Lead Software Engineer at the Centre for the Development of Technological Means of Chemical Control (CRTSKHK), explained that the company comprises the IKHAL (Chemical-Analytical Testing Laboratory) and BIML (Base Testing and Metrological Laboratory) divisions.

“Our ‘Redut’ system consists of a PSU (power supply unit), a CCU (central control unit), external and internal environmental sensors (O2, CO, CO2), temperature and humidity sensors, a differential pressure sensor and a gamma radiation sensor,” Kapralov noted.

He added that several devices have been designed and manufactured entirely using a domestic electronic component base. The institute’s specialists also produce their own semiconductor sensors on-site.

“Regarding the controllers, we source them from JSC NIIET (part of the Element Group — Ed.). We do not currently use Baikal or Elbrus elements,” Kapralov said.

At the trade fair, the company also presented the ‘Izumrud-1’ multi-channel gas detector, a device equipped with an in-house SKS-8 digital sensor. It has a control interface with push-buttons and a display, as well as visual and audible alarm indicators. The device is designed to detect when the threshold concentration of a target substance has been exceeded.
