The Voronezh-based Research Institute of Electronic Technology (NIIET, a member of the Element Group, MOEX: ELMT) has expanded its presence in the Registry of Russian Industrial Products and the Unified Registry of Radio-Electronic Products of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (Minpromtorg) of Russia with its new 32-bit RISC-V microcontrollers. These models were first introduced to the market last October as part of a four-chip series.

The new product line has already earned high praise from the professional community. Notably, at the international exhibition Expo Electronica 2026, it was honored with an award “For the Development and Production of Domestic Electronic Components.”

The flagship of the series is the K1921VG1T microcontroller, which stands as the most powerful product in NIIET’s RISC-V portfolio. It features the institute’s first-ever implementation of processor cores running in lockstep mode, complemented by a suite of internal diagnostic mechanisms. This configuration is specifically designed for automatic control systems utilizing complex algorithms.

The K1921VG3T microcontroller is oriented toward motor control tasks. The primary application of the product is the management of electric motors and electric drives; however, thanks to a wide range of interfaces and functional blocks, it can also be used for other tasks.

Both products are manufactured in LQFP 208 plastic packages, which ensures compatibility with common mounting technologies and simplifies the integration of the microcontrollers into serial developments of Russian manufacturers.

In addition to high-performance solutions, the lineup includes the compact K1921VG5T and K1921VG7T microcontrollers. The K1921VG5T model is a versatile solution for industrial automation, robotics, and portable systems, including motor control. In terms of pin groups, the microcontroller is compatible with another popular NIIET product — the K1946VK035 microcontroller. In turn, the K1921VG7T microcontroller is a general-purpose solution suitable for tasks in the fields of measurement, communications, security, automation, medicine, energy, and industry.

These microchips incorporate basic UART, SPI, and I2C interfaces, PWM support, as well as analog-to-digital converters. At the same time, both solutions are manufactured in LQFP 48 plastic packages and are equipped with 512 KB of built-in non-volatile memory.
