The Faculty of Computer Science and Technology at VSUFT (Voronezh State University of Forestry and Technologies) recently hosted a thrilling intellectual competition titled “Choosing a Future Profession.” Students majoring in Microelectronics and Information Systems engaged in a spirited debate to determine which role commands greater demand in today’s climate: the engineer or the programmer. Following a period of palpable tension and a rousing round of applause, victory was snatched by the Information Systems team to the delight of the gallery. Academics noted that whilst both disciplines remain vital, the current market shows a clear leaning towards digital-led solutions.
The proceedings then moved to a hands-on session: a masterclass focused on the K1921VG015 microcontroller. A senior engineer from NIIET (part of the Element Group; MOEX: ELMT) demonstrated the operating system and 3D modelling capabilities. This was followed by a collaborative discussion on the complexities of software and hardware integration at the cross-section of microelectronics and IT.
We are delighted to have you with us. There is plenty more to come — do stay tuned!
