The first round of the autumn season of the “Business Champions League” corporate championship has kicked off on Voronezh football pitches. The Scientific Research Institute of Electronics (NIIET, part of the Element Group, MOEX: ELMT) is a long-standing participant in this championship; with each season, the team refines its sports skills against worthy opponents and adds well-deserved awards to its victory bank.
This time, NIIET faced the BierStadt team, one of the newcomers of the current “Business Champions League” season. The “microelectroniacs” have five completed seasons, fifty matches played, and thirty victories under their belt. The team has been rapidly climbing the tournament ladder: from fourth place in their debut spring season of 2024 to silver in the autumn of the same year, bronze in the spring of 2025, and finally, gold in the regular championship of spring 2026.
NIIET entered the new season as the reigning division champion, with a reputation as a team capable of tackling the highest goals. The first half of the season’s opening game went very well for our boys: the score was opened as early as the fifth minute, and NIIET’s advantage only grew throughout the first half. By halftime, the scoreboard showed 4-0 in our favor!
In the second half, NIIET fans were on the edge of their seats: the beginning of the play after the break was marked by two missed goals. Realizing that if this trend continued, the end of the game could become very intense, the NIIET football players adjusted their tactics. They focused on ball control and did not allow the opponent to seize the initiative, while also managing to score two more goals for their own peace of mind.
As a result, the NIIET team achieved the desired outcome — 6:2 in favor of the “microelectroniacs.” Last season’s Division B winner made a successful start in the new championship, while the first match proved unsuccessful for BierStadt. However, there are still many opponents, many victories, and motivations to only move forward ahead!
