Employees of the NIIET, a part of the Element Group of Companies (MOEX: ELMT), took part in a memorial ceremony dedicated to Victory Day.
Representatives of the institute laid flowers at the memorial at the Kozhevenny Cordon, a landmark site associated with the history of the war and the memory of the heroism of Soviet soldiers. The lives of 146 soldiers ended here, at the Kozhevenny Cordon, in those distant years. Mass Grave No. 317 now forever preserves the names of all the heroes who fought for freedom, the future, and a bright sky above.
On this day, ceremony participants honored the memory of all those who gave their lives for their homeland. “This day is more than just a date on the calendar. It is our shared memory, which we are obligated to preserve and pass on to future generations,” noted the Director of Legal and Administrative Affairs at JSC NIIET. “We bow our heads to the courage and fortitude of those who defended the world from fascism. Their heroism is a guide for us and our children.”
Those gathered observed a moment of silence for the fallen soldiers and laid fresh flowers at the base of the monument. Participants in the ceremony softly sang well-known war songs—”Katyusha,” “Victory Day,” and other songs that have become symbols of the courage and resilience of the victorious generation. Red carnations laid at the memorial became a vivid symbol of remembrance and the gratitude of descendants.
Participation in memorial events on May 9 has become a good tradition for the NIIET staff. For several years now, the Institute has been organizing events to improve the monument and hosting commemorative gatherings.
