The Scientific Research Institute of Electronics (NIIET) has completed the development of the specialized SIT D-70 test unit—a solution that will open new opportunities for education and scientific research within the Advanced Engineering School (AES) of Electronics and Info communication Technologies at Voronezh State University.

The new unit is designed in accordance with the most modern requirements for testing electronic components and systems. It will allow students and engineers to practice hands-on skills in conditions as close as possible to real production environments. Manufactured by NIIET, this dynamic test unit is designed to load up to 70 products simultaneously for testing and inspection.

Key Features of the Test Unit

Wide Range of Testing: The equipment supports testing of various types of electronic devices—from individual components to complex integrated circuits and modules.
Process Automation: An integrated control system simplifies test configuration, data collection, and results analysis, reducing the time required for experiments.
Configuration Flexibility: The unit can be adapted for specific tasks: operating modes can be changed, additional modules connected, and functionality expanded as needed.
Integration with Digital Tools: The platform is compatible with popular CAD and simulation software, enabling the comparison of theoretical calculations with experimental data.
Safety and Reliability: The design includes multi-level protection against overloads, short circuits, and other emergency situations.

The implementation of the test unit will provide a powerful impetus to the development of educational and research activities:

• Students will gain access to cutting-edge technologies and the opportunity to participate in real-world projects during their studies.
• Professors and research scientists will be able to conduct complex experiments, test innovative solutions, and publish their findings in specialized magazines.
• The school will strengthen cooperation with industrial partners: the unit is suitable for testing prototypes and conducting pre-certification of products before they enter mass production.

“The creation of this test bench is a vital step in the integration of science, education, and industry,” noted the head project manager at NIIET. “Our goal was to provide maximum practical value: future engineers can now work with equipment that meets current industry standards.”

The new installation will become a centerpiece for laboratories, helping to train highly qualified personnel for high-tech industries. In the coming months, the first training courses and pilot studies based on this test unit are scheduled to begin. NIIET will continue to oversee the project, providing technical support and modernizing the complex as new challenges arise.

JSC “NIIET” (part of the Element Group) has been developing and implementing its own testing equipment for several years. This work is partially supported by federal grants under the Russian Federation Government Decree No. 2136 dated December 16, 2020, regarding the financial support for R&D in the field of electronics manufacturing equipment.

Testing services and equipment purchase requests can be placed on the manufacturer’s website at niiet.ru/product-category/testing/ or by emailing p.parmon@niiet.ru.

Background Information:
The “Advanced Engineering Schools” (AES) federal project was launched in 2022 to train skilled engineering personnel for high-tech economic sectors. It is one of 42 initiatives by the Russian Government aimed at improving citizens’ quality of life, implemented under the “Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation” state program.
