Today, the development vector of the radio-electronic industry has shifted from selective import substitution to fundamental transformation. What does this transition look like from the inside? What barriers do developers face, and what solutions are already road-ready? The 10th anniversary issue of the “STEK-V” scientific and technical magazine by JSC “NIIET”, which celebrates its 65th anniversary in 2026, provides honest answers to the industry’s most pressing questions.
The issue opens with an interview with Pavel Kutsko, CEO of JSC “NIIET” and Editor-in-Chief of the magazine: “We want to move from the stage of formation to the stage of prosperity.”
This is a deep analytical review of the industry status, openly discussing topics that are often kept quiet:
• How effective are real government support measures?
• Why is it still difficult for Russian developers to compete with foreign giants?
• How to effectively combat pseudo-domestic products in the market?
• What are the prospects for microcontrollers based on the open RISC-V architecture and ambitious projects in the field of gallium nitride (GaN)?
In total, the issue features 12 scientific articles in which researchers share test results and new algorithms. The tenth issue of “STEK-V” focuses on the key aspects of technological independence and security:
• A paper by A. I. Belous and Yu. S. Usherenko explores advanced methods for protecting technical and biological objects from electromagnetic threats, including space and infrastructure applications.
• An article by D. M. Kiryanov and D. G. Bormotov addresses the issues of improving semiconductor quality and reliability, providing a detailed analysis of end-to-end parameter control at all stages of microelectronic manufacturing.
• A study by E. I. Starovoitov investigates the implementation of domestic navigation and communication equipment, which ensures the autonomy and safety of the space industry’s ground segment. The editorial board of “STEK-V” invites new authors to collaborate. If you have research results, engineering case studies, or unique development experience, the magazine will help present them to the professional community.
