Russia’s domestic radio-electronics production has nearly doubled over the past five years, First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov announced at the plenary session of the Microelectronics 2026 forum.
This new structure will play a pivotal role in the industry’s development as part of the national strategy to achieve technological independence.
“The joint microelectronics company currently being established must play a key role here. Its mission is to consolidate the industry’s resources and capacities, building a full cycle from initial design to mass production,” Denis Manturov emphasized. “All these objectives require steady financial support. In addition to R&D funding, we need to make wider use of low-interest loans, leasing, and tax incentives.”
The creation of this single consolidation hub aims to address a range of strategic goals. These include scaling up production, maintaining strict post-delivery oversight on localization, and providing enterprises with consistent financial backing—such as R&D grants, subsidized credits, leasing options, tax tools, and funding to launch initial production batches.
The First Deputy Prime Minister noted that the ultimate strategic goal is to build an environment where tech companies can confidently plan their operations for the long term.
Additionally, Denis Manturov toured the exhibition, where Russia’s largest corporations and leading research institutes showcased their latest breakthroughs in microelectronics, electronic components, and radio-electronic systems.
